Realizations
These are some things that I realized today, and I thought I would share them with you.
- The TV Show The Office- Rules all. (Just the American Version- I can't stand the British One.)
- Wristcutters- A Love Story was one of the best Love Story Movies I have seen in a very long time.
- Having no job is killing me slowly inside. I hate the free time- the dead time.
- Pauses for subtext (like you see in movies, and on stage) happen in real life, and are sometimes big enough to drive trucks through.
- I am REALLY sad that my theater show closes tomorrow. What am I going to do with even more free time?
- 45 showers to camp. You know what I am talking about.
- Making MixTapes is the most underrated activity EVER.
- I simply cannot get enough of Stephen T Colbert.
- I've finally admitted that I love Facebook.
- I've taught myself the first six seconds of the song 100 Years by Five for Fighting on the guitar.
- I love blogging. I feel like I don't do it enough.
- Invisible Children was the most emotionally moving documentary I have ever seen. It has inspired me into social activism.
- Netflix is a genius idea. I love it.
- This picture can really sum up how sad the Albuquerque Social Life truly is.

As you can see- it was a busy day in the brain of Adeo.

It's 3:30AM
I am dead tired, and have been working for the past 6 hours-
but I have met my deadline- and after leaving Kinko's, I can officially say, I am a playwrite.
My first theatrical script was finished, re-read, and printed this evening, ready to have a table reading in the morning.
I'll let you know how it goes.

Indecision- decided.
I have spent a fair most of my day doing homework, eating Doritos, and bouncing back and forth between CNN, Comedy Central, and reading updates on CNN.com.
While some of the media was mentioning the Polygamist ranch in Texas, and what will happen with the 416 children torn from their families, the fair majority of the news ALL day was dedicated to Politics- and more specifically Barack Obama's comments on "Small Town" America. With the Pennsylvania Primaries a week away, the media is taking full advantage of Obama's words, questioning whether he will hold any chance against Senator Hillary Clinton now.
First of all- I feel that 416 children being ripped from there mothers should be, at least a little bit, more important than what the media thinks Obama meant- or did not mean- by some silly quote taken on a terrible tape recorder.
But with that said- I think it is ridiculous that the media, and the other Presidential hopefuls, are tearing this man to pieces. I for one found it refreshing that he was honest, even if I did not agree with what he said. What American has ever agreed 100% with what a President, Soon-to-Be President, or Party hopeful has said? Just because he said it, doesn't mean you need to agree with it.
I feel his honesty and open-ness with the American people is uncanny, and a complete change from the Clinton's/Bush's/McCain's out there.
Senator Obama said, "...And it's not surprising then they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren't like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations." in regards to President Bush and Former President Clinton's negligence of small-town America, and how these towns are now dead. What is wrong with honesty? And because of this, Obama is now being called an "Elitist." Isn't every Presidential Candidate somewhat of an elitist? I think graduating from an Ivy League school, and having a 7-figure statement for your last years salary would constitute you as an elitist.
President Bush's proposed 2009 budget eliminates all the funding for Reading Is Fundamental's book distribution program that has, since 1966, provided books to underprivileged children. But you don't hear anything about this. You don't hear any word that our President choses to elimanate 16 million books from our children next year.
At The Compassion Forum- Clinton spoke about loving "The Father, The Son, and The Holy Ghost" and how religion plays a daily role in her life. IN the same breath, she talks about firing guns as a child behind her cabin with her grandfather in Scranton. Moments after the Forum, when questioned about when specifically she last attended church and fired a weapon, she blew up.
I believe that Barack Obama is getting more negative media attention than anyone else, when there are more prevalent issues pressing America, and when other candidates (and our own chosen President) are making equally as big of "mistakes." Let's lay off him.
-SO-
What this boils down to is this-
I decided a few weeks ago, and this my official announcement-
I fully endorse Senator Barack Obama.
Good Luck in Pennsylvania.
